Since there are so many applications for rubber products, different rubber compositions must be available to provide optimum service life. Holz designs and mixes its own polymers to the specifications required to meet this goal. In-plant compound mixing and quality control are the best means to maximize product performance for each application.

After rubber stock is mixed in the "Banbury Mixer," it is milled into sheets to be used immediately or inventoried for later processing. All stock taken from inventory is remilled and the quality is checked by the laboratory prior to use. After milling, the elastomer is ready to be calendared into precision sheet thicknesses, applied to fabric, or processed into load weights for use in molding operations.
